Guangzhou posts throughput of 241 million tonnes in 2009

China: The Port of Guangzhou recorded a cumulative throughput of 241 million tonnes for the year of 2009. While detailed figures were not given, a Xinhua News report said the port also expected its container volumes to meet the annual target.After reporting continuous decreases in the early half of year, the port's throughput turned for the better and achieved year-on-year growth in September. Its container throughput of domestic trades also improved in the fourth quarter. |
