Seaport in Haiti capital reopens

The largest port in the Haiti capital Port-au-Prince has reopened, the US Coast Guard confirms. The port was damaged in the devastating earthquake afflicting the country last week. ”We are on our third vessel and the structural engineers have okayed this operation”, said Lieutenant Commander Mark Gibbs to the news agency Reuters on Thursday.
