China’s shipbuildning lead growing

China strengthens its position as the world’s shipbuilding nation number one. Since November last year, when China for the first time passed South Korea, considering the order back log, the difference between the nations market share has increase from 0.9 per cent to 4 per cent as China has a 36.4 per cent market share. All according to Clarkson Research Services. When looking at orders signed from January through September this year China’s lead is 4.3 per cent with their 44.4 per cent market share. During the first nine month China delivered 13.28 million CGT, the equivalent of a 35.5 per cent market share, while South Korea delivered 12.0 million CGT
